Calvi - Galéria

The road climbs gently as you leave the town, offering superb views of the sea and the Corsican maquis. After a few kilometres of climbing, you will pass through wild landscapes, between mountains, dense vegetation and small streams.
Halfway up, you can take a break on the heights to admire the panorama. The last section before Galéria descends gently towards the sea, with spectacular views of the Gulf of Galéria. Galéria - Porto

You leave Galéria heading towards Porto, beginning a beautiful climb through the Corsican mountains. The climb takes you to the Palmarella Pass, which offers an exceptional view of the Gulf of Girolata, a former pirate hideout nestled between the sea and the maquis.

After a few kilometres, you reach the Col de la Croix (Col de Croce), an ideal place to take a break and enjoy the view.
The road continues through spectacular gorges, where the red cliffs and wild vegetation create an impressive backdrop.

Finally, you begin the descent towards Porto, then continue to La Marine to reach your hotel by the water.

4
Porto - Piana

Leaving Porto, you head towards Ajaccio via Piana. The road climbs rapidly, gradually revealing the spectacular Calanques de Piana. These impressive red-hued rock formations contrast beautifully with the deep green of the scrubland and the intense blue of the sea below. A breathtaking setting — don't forget your cameras!

Continue on to the charming village of Piana, perched in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The return journey to your accommodation follows the same route, offering a new perspective on these unique landscapes.

Second night in Porto.

Approximately 25km round trip.

5
Porto - Calacuccia

Today, you will set off to explore spectacular mountain landscapes as you cross the majestic Aïtone forest before reaching the Niolu region. Composed mainly of Lariccio pines, beeches and chestnut trees, this forest stretches to the Verghio Pass, offering total immersion in one of Corsica's most beautiful forests.

Along the way, you will cross the impressive Spelunca Gorges, a natural site of striking beauty.

You will pass through Évisa, a charming village nicknamed the chestnut capital, which is the gateway to the Aïtone forest. Then, as you cross the Vergio Pass – the highest point on the route – a magnificent panorama opens up over Niolu and Lake Calacuccia, nestled in the heart of the Corsican mountains.

Your stage ends in Calacuccia, a peaceful mountain village bordering an artificial lake, ideal for a quiet stopover, surrounded by nature and tradition.

The road runs alongside the Golo River, the longest in Corsica, offering beautiful views of its steep gorges. After a few kilometres, you pass near Albertacce and then begin a steeper descent towards Castirla.

As you approach Corte, the terrain becomes gentler, and you join the T20 for a few kilometres, a slightly busier but smooth road that takes you directly to Corte, the historic former capital of Corsica, nestled in the heart of the island.
